Q&A: Should Self-Employed People Have Separate Social Media Accounts

The answer to this depends on a lot of variables, what kinds of things are posted on the personal accounts? What type of business/industry is the company? etc etc.

Generally, I would advise to have one account on each platform, BUT, if you’re posting things that you wouldn’t want your customers/clients to see, I would make them separate.

I completely agree with your assessment. I would say, at the end of the day, your personality is the biggest part of YOU and most likely defines your business’s culture. I think we should all keep things clean on social networks, so why split the filters? In the end, I will work with partners who I believe to be “real people with personality”!
